Lamination options

Posted by in Uncategorized

The most common question about the 2016 calendar is about lamination. Unfortunately I can’t offer it from the store at this time.

The reason for this is that I switched from a print run to on-demand printing. With a print run copies of the calendar are laminated right after the printing at a lamination center. For lamination now, it would need to be offered by the on-demand printer and it’s not available.

Dry erase markers are extremely useful and while I can’t offer up a pre-laminated version I did some research in calling up different print shops to see what the cost would be.

Staples and Office Depot / OfficeMax all offer lamination at $2 a sq. ft. For the 24″ x 36″ calendar that comes to $12. For the 12″ x 18″ one it comes to $3.

There are also some DIY options out there. While this will save you a little bit my experience with that sort of thing has been extremely poor. It’s astoundingly easy to get bubbles and ripples and make a mess of it.

Or maybe this is some common skill that I just happen to lack. It’s entirely possible.

Either way, lamination is something that I would love to offer in the future and you will be the first to hear about it if I can.
